For providers, Genection's comprehensive test menu translates to less time spent and less confusion regarding where to find a specific test or how to retrieve it for your patient. A streamlined menu assures that even obscure tests that may be critical in the diagnosing and treating of a patient can be honed in on and identified quickly and without a laborious search. Because Genection is not payor driven, prescribing physicians have access to genetic tests that might previously have been unavailable, overlooked or unheard of.
Genetic Counselors
Our mission is simple: we want to simplify the genetic test ordering landscape for the physician. With the exponential explosion of genomic information that is available today, we provide physicians with free access to genetic counselors that can help navigate through this landscape, helping the physician identify the right test for their patients. Through our web application, doctors can prescribe a visit with a genetic counselor for their patient, who then compiles all the necessary information to make the most informed choice for which test to order. Physicians receive detailed reports of the genetic counselors findings, where they can then order the test through Genection. The genetic counselor then discusses the test results with the patient and the physician.
Informed Consent
The Informed Consent process can be a barrier to offering a genetic test. We provide physicians with consent forms that help assist in communicating vital information to the patient.

Genection’s secure web-based service enables providers within an organization to access a patient's test results according to their privacy policies. As providers know, collaboration within an organization aids in faster diagnosis with possibly life-saving results. Collaboration also significantly diminishes time and money spent on administration, transfer of information, and communication regarding test result status. With Genection, physicians are prompted prior to ordering a duplicate test that was already ordered in their organization.
